We're almost to the end of the 2015-16 high school basketball season and the five finalists have been revealed for the Naismith Trophy High School Player of the Year. For the boys, we have Lonzo Ball of Chino Hills (UCLA), Jayson Tatum of Chaminade (Duke), Miles Bridges of Huntington Prep (Michigan State), De'Aaron Fox of Cypress Lakes (Kentucky), and Josh Jackson of Prolific Prep (Undecided). According to numerous sites, Lonzo Ball and Jayson Tatum are the favorites to take home the awards for their respective schools' stellar seasons.
On the ladies side of the ball, Erin Boley of Elizabethtown (Notre Dame), Lauren Cox of Flower Mound (Baylor), Crystal Dangerfield of Blackman (UConn), Joyner Holmes of Cedar Hill (Texas), and Jackie Young of Princeton (Notre Dame). These finalists were named by the Atlanta Tipoff Club.
Both players of the year recipients will be announced on March 10th, 2016 at the annual sports banquet.
