It wasn't the best of starts for Kansas, but it produced another favorable result to cap off its two-game slate in Rome on Thursday.

After trailing in the opening minutes at Honey Sports City, the Jayhawks rattled off a 20-3 run to end the first quarter and never looked back to beat Players Group 92-61.

Sophomore center Udoka Azubuike continued his rim-rocking dominance with a team-high 15 points. Sophomore guard Malik Newman was impressive again with 13. Sophomore transfer Charlie Moore poured in 12. Senior guard Devonte Graham added 11 points, five rebounds, and five assists, and freshman guard Marcus Garrett posted a double-double of 10 points and 12 rebounds.

Senior wing Sviotoslav Mykhailiuk and junior guard Lagerald Vick chipped in nine and eight points, respectively, to help the Jayhawks improve to 2-0 before traveling to Milan for games Saturday and Sunday.

Mitja Nikolic led Players Group with a game-high 22 points.
