Defeat Proves Frustrating For Winless Montana
ST. THOMAS, U.S. Virgin Islands — Frustrated would be one way to describe it. The mistakes are easy to point to. Yet, it doesn’t make losing feel any better for head coach Travis DeCuire.
Montana hung with North Carolina State for much of the contest Friday night, and even had a narrow halftime lead, but the 85-72 score goes down as another loss for the only winless team in the 2016 Paradise Jam.
There were some encouraging performances, too. Walter Wright had 22, while Ahmaad Rorie added 15 and Sayeed Pridgett chipped in 12. But it was the 18 turnovers and quite second half which led to playing in the consolation bracket.
The Grizzlies, 0-3, will try to bounce back Saturday live on FloHoops.
