Ernie Kent Delivers High Praise To Creighton
ST. THOMAS, U.S. Virgin Islands — Ernie Kent was quick to give Creighton praise Friday night. Perhaps it was quicker than usual. Regardless, to the Washington State head coach, it had more to do with what the opponent did correct than what his team did wrong.
In the opening night of the 2016 Paradise Jam, the No. 22 Bluejays proved to be too much, and the Cougars fell, 103-77, and will play Montana on Saturday night live on FloHoops.
There were some positives, though. Big man Conor Clifford had a game-high 29 points and the Cougars forced 16 turnovers. But it wasn’t nearly enough to even come close to what it was going to take to pull off the upset, and Kent had some high praise.
