Healthy Andrew Nembhard Set For Triumphant Return At Montverde Academy
Andrew Nembhard is as resilient as he is talented. It would be tough to find a better point guard than Nembhard in the high school game right now and almost impossible to come across one who's had to battle like the 6-foot-4 Canadian to return to the court.
For several months, Nembhard was sidelined with health issues, a reported stomach issue that required surgery, according to ZAGSBLOG. The 2018 Flo40 No. 22 prospect missed the final two months at Montverde Academy (FL), including a run at DICK’s Nationals. He was also forced to sit out the entire Nike EYBL regular season.
It was a challenging setback, no doubt, but the best part is Nembhard has made his way back. He helped guide UPlay Canada to the quarterfinals of the Peach Invitational Tournament in July and has since competed at the prestigious Nike Skills Academy.
Nembhard, who reclassified to 2018 this summer, made a huge splash by announcing his commitment to Florida on October 2.
