Hampton's Godwin, NC A&T's Horton Named To HBCU All-Star Game Watch List
Hampton's Marquis Godwin and North Carolina A&T's Demetric Horton have been named to the watch list at shooting guard for the 2023 HBCU All-Star Game.
Hampton senior Marquis Godwin and North Carolina A&T senior Demetric Horton have been named to the watch list at shooting guard for the 2023 HBCU All-Star Game to be played Final Four weekend in Houston.
Godwin is averaging 10.7 points per game for Hampton this season and has been in double figures five times this season, including an 18-point showing at Wake Forest and 14 points in Wednesday night’s win over Loyola Maryland. Horton has contributed 11.6 points, 3.4 rebounds, 3.5 assists, and 1.5 steals per game and has scored 11 or more points in six of eight contests this winter.
The 2023 HBCU All-Star Game will be hosted by Texas Southern on Sunday, April 2 at 4 PM on CBS and Paramount+. The 24 players – 12 per team – will be selected from members of the MEAC, SWAC, CIAA, and SIAC, along with Hampton, North Carolina A&T, and Tennessee State.
