Lincoln Memorial guard Quay Kennedy has been named the South Atlantic Conference Varsity Gems Men’s Basketball Player of the Week for games played during Week 12 of the 2022-2023 season, the conference announced Monday.

Kennedy, a graduate student from Columbia, Tennessee, led the No. 8 Railsplitters to a pair of SAC wins over Carson-Newman (84-69) and Wingate (78-64). 

He averaged 23 points, four rebounds, four assists and a block for the week, while shooting 69.6% from the field. 

Kennedy knocked down 23 points and added four rebounds, six assists and two blocks against Carson-Newman. He then scored 23 points with four rebounds and two assists, while shooting 90% from the field against Wingate.
