Angel Reese, Hailey Van Lith Are Established Women's Basketball Stars For LSU
It's not a surprise that LSU was the preseason No.1 team in the country due to the talent on the roster.
Angel Reese was the leader of the LSU team in 2023 and was the 2023 Final Four Most Outstanding Player as well as the 2023 BET Sportswomen of the Year and 2023 ESPY Best Breakthrough Athlete.
Reese, who played two years at Maryland before transfering to LSU, averaged 23 points per game for the Tigers last season.
While she was the most impactful transfer last season, Haley Van Lith could be that this season.
A star at Louisville the last three seasons where she helped the Cardinals reach the 2022 Final Four and scored 1,553 points, Van Lith stunned the sport when she committed to LSU. In four games she's averaging just over 10 points per game.
