Iowa Women's Basketball coach Lisa Bluder won her 500th game at Iowa and Caitlin Clark scored 21 as the Hawkeyes routed Florida Gulf Coast 100-62 to advance to the 2023 Women's Gulf Coast Showcase championship game.

No. 5 Iowa (6-1) will play No. 16 Kansas State (6-0), who beat No. 18 UNC on Nov. 25, in the championship game at 7:30 p.m in Estero, Florida. The matchup comes 10 days after Kansas State beat the Hawkeyes 65-58 in Iowa City on Nov. 16. 

FGCU never got comfortable in the game and Iowa used a 14-0 run in the first half to cement its lead. Iowa scored 55 points in the first half, its second straight 50-point first half in the tournament. 

Florida Gulf Coast will play North Carolina at 5 p.m. on Nov. 26. 

Lisa Bluder Gets Historic Win As Iowa Women's Basketball Head Coach

Bluder recorded her 500th win as the head coach of Iowa. In her 24th season as head coach, Bluder is the all-time winningest coach in program history. She has led her program to 17 NCAA Tournaments. 

Overall, she is now 500-250 at Iowa and 856-392 overall. She took the program to the Final Four for the first time since 1993 in 2023. 

Before coming to Iowa, Bluder coached Drake for 10 seasons, going 187-106 overall.
