PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Keithean Brooks, Jr., G, Delta State

Brooks averaged 31 points on 19-of-33 shooting (.575), 8-of-16 from three (.500), 4.5 rebounds, and two steals per game in wins over Shorter and Lee. Against Shorter, Brooks scored a game-high 28 points on an efficient 71 percent. He also made a career-high six three-pointers at a 67 percent clip. In the 87-81 win over Lee, the Walls, Miss. native poured in 34 points, one shy of his career high, on 47 percent shooting and sank a career-high 14-of-15 free throws. Brooks also recorded seven rebounds and three steals.

FRESHMAN OF THE WEEK

Jordan Pyke Fr., F/G, Union

Pyke earns his sixth GSC Freshman of the Week award after averaging 13.5 points, 5.5 rebounds, and 5.5 assists per game in matchups against Auburn Montgomery and Montevallo. In the 81-66 victory over Montevallo, Pyke nearly secured a triple-double with 15 points, 10 rebounds, and eight assists, marking a new career high. He also set a new career high for three-pointers made in a game, knocking down three triples. Pyke now has seven double-doubles on the season to lead all GSC freshmen.
