Alabama is set to play No.13 Charleston in the first round of the NCAA Tournament 2024 on March 22 in Spokane Washington. This will be the first time in history these two face off in the history of either program.

The Crimson Tide are entering this year's tournament with a 21-11 record following the programs record breaking season in 2023. Helping lead the way for Alabama this year is Aaron Estrada, a transfer from Hofstra Basketball, which is in the CAA Conference along with Charleston . 

Estrada played for Hofstra from 2021-23 and earned back-to-back CAA  CAA Player of the Year awards prior to entering the transfer portal, where he was ranked as the No. 12 transfer according to ESPN.

Alabama Men's Basketball- Aaron Estrada

Aaron Estrada is a fifth-year senior who transferred from Hofstra following his two season stint there from 2021-2023. In Estrada's two season's with the Pride he won back-to-back Player of the Year awards before entering the transfer portal.

Upon entering the NCAA Transfer Portal in 2023 and joining Alabama, Estrada entered the 2023-2024 season as the No. 10 returning scorer in Division I basketball.

Charleston and Alabama will face off March 22 in Spokane, Washington at the Spokane Veterans Memorial Arena.

When Does The 2024 NCAA Tournament Start?

The tournament will begin with Selection Sunday on March 17, followed by the First Four on March 19-20. 

After the opening round is complete, the field will be set with the top 64 teams and the first round will start on March 21-22.
