No team in collegiate women’s basketball knows how to win like UConn, and the Huskies will be taking their talents to the Bahamas during their Thanksgiving break to compete in the 2024 Baha Mar Hoops Women's Championship.

The 11-time national champions are fresh off a BIG EAST title and a Final Four appearance, and they’ll be among the four teams looking to hoist the trophy at the Baha Mar Convention, Arts & Entertainment Center in Nassau.

The tournament will include No. 2 UConn, No. 20 Ole Miss, Oregon State and Boston College, with games taking place Nov. 25 and Nov. 27.

UConn will meet Oregon State on Nov. 25 at 7:30 p.m. Eastern. It will be the second game of the event, following the matchup between No. 20 Ole Miss and Boston College at 5 p.m. ET.

The losing teams on Nov. 25 will face off in the consolation game Nov. 27 at 5 p.m., and the winning teams from the opening round will meet at 7:30 p.m. ET to play for the tournament championship.

UConn enters the 2024-2025 season ranked No. 2 in the preseason AP Coaches Poll behind defending national champion South Carolina. 

The Huskies were 33-6 overall last season and 18-0 in conference play. Their season came to an end in the national semifinals (Final Four), where they fell to eventual national runner-up Iowa, 71-69.

UConn will be led into the new campaign by redshirt senior guard Paige Bueckers, whose name is on just about every preseason team and watchlist possible.
