Being a member of the Ole Miss women’s basketball team for the 2024-2025 season means the opportunity to gain experience, collect memories and earn a lot of airline miles.

The globetrotting Rebels were part of a select group of NCAA Division I teams given the chance to kick off their seasons in Europe, and that was just the first of two international trips on the Ole Miss schedule this year. 

The other will be the 2024 Baha Mar Hoops Women's Championship, which will be held at the Baha Mar Convention, Arts & Entertainment Center in Nassau, Bahamas, from Nov. 25-27.

The tournament also will include No. 2 UConn, Oregon State and Boston College, with games taking place Nov. 25 and Nov. 27, and all of the action will be broadcast live on FloHoops.

Ole Miss will face Boston College on Nov. 25 at 5 p.m. Eastern, and that game will be followed by UConn and Oregon State at 7:30 p.m. ET.

The losing teams on Nov. 25 will face off in the consolation game Nov. 27 at 5 p.m., and the winning teams from the opening round will meet at 7:30 p.m. ET to play for the tournament championship.

Unfortunately for Ole Miss, the team’s season-opening opponent in Paris was No. 3-ranked USC, and the Trojans were just too much for the Rebels, who fell short in the City of Light on Nov. 4 by a slim 68-66 margin.

The Rebels will have three games to bounce back before heading to the Bahamas, where they’ll be looking to win hardware in the foreign locale for the second consecutive season. 

Last year, Ole Miss defeated Michigan to win the 2023 Bad Boy Movers Battle4Atlantis Championship, held on Paradise Island, Bahamas. 

Ole Miss finished the 2023-2024 season at 24-9 overall and 12-4 in Southeastern Conference action. The Rebels reached the semifinals of the SEC Tournament and the second round of the NCAA Division I Women’s Basketball Championship.
