Last season, the Oregon State women’s basketball team was one of the many victims rolled over by South Carolina on the way to a second national title in three years.

The season was a huge victory for the Beavers overall, though, as their run to the Elite Eight ended with a 27-8 record and a 12-6 mark in Pac-12 play. The year prior, OSU limped to the finish line at 13-18 and 4-14 in conference games.

At the upcoming 2024 Baha Mar Hoops Women's Championship, which will be held at the Baha Mar Convention, Arts & Entertainment Center in Nassau, Bahamas, from Nov. 25-27, Oregon State will get another chance to gauge its progress against the nation’s best.

It won’t be South Carolina again just yet, though. Instead, the Beavers will face No. 2 UConn, the winningest team in the history of women’s college basketball.

The tournament also will include No. 20 Ole Miss and Boston College, with games taking place Nov. 25 and Nov. 27, and all of the action will be broadcast live on FloHoops.

Oregon State and UConn will take the floor Nov. 25 at 7:30 p.m. Eastern, just after Ole Miss and Boston College meet at 5 p.m. ET.

The losing teams on Nov. 25 will face off in the consolation game Nov. 27 at 5 p.m., and the winning teams from the opening round will meet at 7:30 p.m. ET to play for the tournament championship.

After returning home from the Bahamas later this month, the conference landscape will look a little different for Oregon State. 

Following a mass exodus from the Pac-12, only OSU and Washington State remained. As a result, for every sport but football and baseball, the two remaining schools joined the West Coast Conference as affiliate members for the near future. 

OSU has been selected by the WCC coaches to finish fourth in the conference this season.
