The Mississippi State women's basketball team is set to compete in the 2024 Cayman Islands Classic this November 28-30. The Bulldogs will take on Utah and South Florida at the John Gray Gymnasium at George Town, Grand Cayman.

Last season, Mississippi State finished with a 23-12 record and were rewarded with an invite to be a part of the inaugural Women's Basketball Invitation Tournament (WBIT) where they made it to the final eight teams and eventually lost to Penn State. 

Over his first two seasons, coach Sam Purcell achieved a record of 45-23 and currently holds the record for winningest first-year head coach with the Bulldogs.
