Indiana and Columbia engaged in a close competition on Saturday afternoon with Yarden Garzon putting up a double-double on her birthday, contributing 18 points and 10 rebounds. The Hoosiers were able to surge late in the game and earn the win.
Baylor wasn't able to connect as effectively on Sunday and found themselves in deep foul trouble against the Hoosiers. Yaya Felder was the story of the game for Baylor, contributing 20 points after her 14 points against Southern Miss. She made 5-8 threes of the team's seven made.
Indiana's Shay Ciezki turned out to be too hard to stop, putting up 34 points and making four out of five attempts beyond the three point line. IU was unable to avoid foul trouble in a tightly called contest by the referees, with 52 total fouls called over the 40 minutes of play.

Final Score: Indiana 71 - 65 Baylor
Indiana maintained control in the fourth quarter, picking up right where they left off in the third. The Hoosiers displayed sharp offensive execution, connecting on passes and creating open looks against Baylor’s defense. However, Indiana lost Lamendola to fouls just three minutes into the quarter.
Both teams struggled offensively midway through the period, combining to miss 12 consecutive field-goal attempts over a four-minute stretch.
Baylor’s Littlepage-Buggs, who had four fouls, returned and fought hard, grabbing crucial rebounds, but was unable to convert offensively.
Shay Ciezki played a pivotal role, extending Indiana’s lead to 12 with 3:30 left. She drew Littlepage-Buggs' fifth foul on a drive to the basket, forcing the Baylor forward to foul out.
With under three minutes remaining, Baylor’s frustration mounted as the Lady Bears committed fouls on both ends of the court. Indiana capitalized, extending their lead while Baylor went scoreless for over five minutes.
Baylor’s Fontleroy finally ended the drought with a jumper, but Indiana quickly called a timeout with 2:00 left, leading by 10.
Despite Baylor’s late push, fueled by field goals and free throws from Yaya Felder, Jada Walker, and Jenna Jennings, the Lady Bears couldn’t close the gap tighter than five. Felder, who scored 17 points, was a standout for Baylor, but Indiana held firm to win by eight, securing a hard-fought victory to move on to the championship game at the Battle 4 Atlantis.
Ciezki put up a near-career best 34 points going 9-16 on FGs, 4-5 on threes, 12-13 from the free throw line.
Third Quarter Score: Indiana 55 - 49 Baylor
Baylor mounted a strong push in the second half, with Jada Walker setting the pace early in the third quarter. Walker hit a fast-break layup and drew a foul from Indiana’s Yarden Garzon, helping Baylor close the gap on Indiana’s lead.
Foul trouble continued to be a key factor as both teams faced tight officiating. Baylor’s Littlepage-Buggs, who began the quarter with three fouls, picked up her fourth with 6:30 remaining and headed to the bench for the rest of the quarter. Sarah Andrews also reached her third foul and sat for a period. For Indiana, Garzon, Ciezki, Striplin, and Lamendola each had at least three fouls midway through the quarter, putting them in jeopardy of further foul trouble.
Baylor’s Vonleh was a standout in the third, contributing key assists and screens that helped her teammates create offensive opportunities and stay within striking distance.
By the midway point of the quarter, Baylor trailed Indiana by just two points. However, Indiana closed the period strong, going on a 7-0 run as Baylor struggled to score for nearly three minutes. Baylor's Fontleroy broke the scoring drought with a hard drive to the basket, but Indiana maintained the advantage heading into the final minutes.
As the quarter neared its end, frustration was evident on Baylor’s faces as they failed to synchronize on offense. A turnover by Walker on Baylor’s final possession gave Indiana a chance to extend their lead before the break, with the Hoosiers holding a slim advantage heading into the fourth.
Indiana's Shay Ciezki has contributed 25 points and is perfect from the three point line, 8-12 on FG attempts.
Second Quarter Score: Indiana 37 - 33 Baylor
Indiana Holds Slim Lead Over Baylor In Intense Battle
Indiana holds a slim 37-33 lead over Baylor at halftime of their Battle 4 Atlantis matchup, with Indiana facing a key injury in Parrish and a growing intensity on the court as the half dwindled into its final moments.
Baylor struggled to find its rhythm in the second quarter, despite some favorable foul calls. Early in the period, Indiana’s Lilly Meister sank one of two free throws after Baylor’s Darianna Littlepage-Buggs picked up her third foul.
Baylor's offense found some traction midway through the quarter, but Indiana’s defense remained tough. With about five minutes left, Hoosiers' forward Sydney Parrish collided with Baylor’s Kyla Abraham and exited the game after scoring 5 points. Just 45 seconds later, Indiana’s Shay Ciezki, who had 12 points, was tripped by Baylor’s Jada Walker and was briefly sidelined. Ciezki, however, returned for the final minutes of the quarter.
Baylor’s Yaya Felder dominated offensively, leading all scorers with 14 points and shooting 5-for-7 from the field. Despite Felder’s strong performance, Baylor couldn’t fully close the gap. The Lady Bears cut the deficit to just four points on a three-pointer by Sarah Andrews with less than a minute remaining in the half.
As the physicality of the game increased, both teams struggled to maintain control, setting up a crucial second half in the highly competitive matchup.
First Quarter Score: Indiana 25 - 18 Baylor
Things looked grim for Baylor in the first quarter until Yaya Felder nailed two threes in a row with around four minutes remaining, picking things right back up from her near triple-double on Saturday against Southern Miss. The scoring opened up considerably from there with Baylor's Bella Fontleroy adding her first three of the game.
It was all Indiana for most of the first quarter with contributions across the starting line-up and early bench supporters. The Hoosiers are 8-14 (57%) in FGs while Baylor is 7-18 (39%). Free throws have accounted for 8 of Indiana's points with fouls being an early blemish for Baylor.
First Five Minutes: Indiana Gets Rolling With Two Ciezki Wide Open Threes, 13-2 IU

Early fouls both ways forced the pace into a choppy pattern for the first minutes of the game, not allowing either offense to get anything going. About halfway through the first quarter, Indiana started putting together good offensive plays including two wide open threes from Ciezki to open up the long range game this afternoon and give the Hoosiers an eleven point lead.
Baylor's fouls have already become an early issue, putting Aaronette Vonleh and Madison Bartley on the bench with two each.
