Duke lost Maryland, 85-80, in an early season matchup, but has rebounded nicely with three straight wins. Duke will also have the opportunity, with a win on Monday, to possibly play No. 8 Oklahoma on Nov. 27.
Kansas State Women's Basketball was hoping to move up even further in the rankings as it travelled to Las Vegas for the 2024 Ball Dawgs Classic with a chance for two games against AP Top 25 ranked teams.
The Wildcats started the season ranked No. 13 and have moved up to No. 9 after 5-0 start. A win over the Blue Devils on Monday would have set up a possible matchup with former Big 12 rival and No. 8 Oklahoma on Nov. 27.
Fourth Quarter Score: No 9. Kansas State 62 - 73 No. 13 Duke
As the game dwindled into its final minutes, Duke extended its lead to 19 points putting Kansas State even further on the back foot against this powerful Blue Devils defense. Kansas State was able to reel it in but not enough to overtake their deficit.

Kansas State's Ayoka Lee was already merging into the fast lane at highway speed, making three of five attempts early and extending the gap to ten points.

Early Impressions: Kansas State Makes Five Of First 6 Attempts, KSU 11-0 Duke
The Kansas State Wildcats offense is off and rolling against this tough Duke defense with five makes out of their first six attempts. Ayoka Lee has already made an early impact with four points off of easy layups, unsurprising as we're expecting at least 19 points from the center.
Duke has been unable to sink anything thus far, losing 11-0 at the first timeout with 6:47 remaining in the first quarter.
