Texas women's basketball cruised to a dominant 90-50 victory over New Mexico State in the Gulf Coast Showcase.

The Longhorns led early and maintained control throughout, with standout performances from Madison Booker (21 points) and Taylor Jones (20 points, 6 rebounds). 

Despite a competitive first half from NMSU, Texas' offensive depth proved too much. Booker’s buzzer-beater before halftime highlighted the team's offensive efficiency. 

With this win, Texas advances and is one step closer to facing West Virginia at the Showcase.

Texas wins. They had it in the bag after the first few possessions, but NMSU played valiantly nonetheless and kept it close through the first two quarters. 

Madison Booker finishes with 21 points, 4 rebounds and 1 assist. 

Taylor Jones finishes with 20 points and 6 rebounds.

The Texas Longhorns are up nearly 40 points on the Aggies. 

They'll win this and be one step closer to a tough game against West Virginia in the Gulf Coast Showcase.
