Butler women's basketball is on top of Santa Clara by 15 points at the end of the first quarter, thanks to the lights-out shooting.

The Bulldogs shot 60 percent from the field and 43 percent from long range, putting the Broncos off balance and forcing them to fight to get back into the game.

Riley Makalusky led the way in that opening quarter with ten first-quarter points, and the Bulldogs are still building their lead in the second quarter.

Santa Clara will have to find a way to bounce back and make this a game in the second quarter, or they could have a long night ahead.
