West Virginia WBB Destroys Boise State WBB For Potential Matchup With Texas
West Virginia WBB Destroys Boise State WBB For Potential Matchup With Texas
The West Virginia women's basketball team continues to dominate with its suffocating defense, which could be useful if they face off against Texas.
No. 12 ranked WVU women's basketball crushed the Boise State women's basketball team 82-47, in its second game of the Gulf Coast Showcase.
Defense was a pivotal element for the Mountaineers as it has been the entire season as they held the Broncos to six points in the first and third quarters making it tough for them to get anything going, and of course that defense was turned into offense as they scored 27 points off of the 23 turnovers forced.

Guard Sidney Shaw dropped 20 points to be the leading scorer for West Virginia on 70 percent shooting and knocked four of the team's six threes.
This win brings fans closer to witnessing a No. 5 vs. No. 12 matchup in tomorrow's Gulf Coast Showcase finale. The only thing left is for No. 5 Texas women's basketball to win tonight over Butler.
