The other game will feature No. 4 Southern Connecticut State (19-9) at No. 1 Bentley (28-1). They’ll get underway at 6 p.m. Eastern. Bentley will ride a 24-game winning streak into the contest.
The two winners then will meet in Sunday’s championship game.
About The Northeast-10 Conference
The NE10 Conference plays basketball at the NCAA Division II level. The conference includes 11 teams.
The Bentley Falcons, whose only loss this season came against Adelphi on Nov. 20 (59-55), coasted to the conference’s regular-season title this year. It was the 27th such win for the Falcons, who were 19-1 in NE10 play this season.
If Bentley can win two more games and hoist the trophy at the NE10 Women’s Basketball Championship, it would be the fourth consecutive tournament title for the Falcons.
In the 2024 NE10 Women’s Basketball Championship, Bentley defeated Southern Connecticut in the final, 64-49. It was the Falcons’ 23rd tournament title overall and ninth since 2011, including 2022 and 2023.
With the win, came the conference’s automatic bid to the NCAA Division II Basketball Championship. Four additional NE10 women’s teams earned bids to the national tournament in 2024 – Assumption, Southern New Hampshire, Saint Rose, Franklin Pierce.
