After a long five days of waiting to find out where they would fall inside the NCAA tournament bracket, UNC Wilmington men's basketball can now prepare for a first-round matchup against Big 12 member Texas Tech.
UNCW is a No. 14 seed, and Texas Tech is a No. 3 seed. The teams will play each other on Thursday, March 20th, in Wichita, Kan., in the West Region.

The Seahawks hope to muster up some of that magic from 23 years ago when they stunned USC as the No. 13 seed.
Although it is unlikely that a No. 4 team will lose in the round of 64 against a No. 13 team, it is not impossible. Since 2018, the No. 13 seed has won seven games out of the last 24, which technically gives UNC Wilmington a 29 percent chance to stun the Red Raiders and the world.
