Incarnate Word Handles Jacksonville And Will Advance To CBI Semifinals
UIW keeps up the momentum, winning its second game at the 2025 College Basketball Invitational, and are now two games away from the title.
Incarnate Word men's basketball earns another postseason win after defeating Jacksonville in the second round of the 2025 College Basketball Invitational by double digits.
This win follows the Incarnate Word win against Manhattan on March 23, which was the opening CBI game.

From the opening tip, it was a rough day for Jacksonville men's basketball. They had a quarterfinal bye as they couldn't get much going. They also finished the game with 18 total turnovers, which led to 21 points for UIW.
Scoring wouldn't just come from turnovers. For the Cardinals, three players with 20-plus points (Jalin Anderson, Davion Bailey, and Jordan Pyke) combined for 66 of the 87 points scored and almost outscored Jacksonville (71).
The win sets up a semifinal game between Incarnate Word and Illinois State on March 25.
