New York's Best and More Compete at the Rumble in the Bronx
The 2016 Rumble in the Bronx is loaded with talent and will be live streamed on FloHoops from June 10-12th.

This year's talent-laden Rumble in the Bronx tournament will be live-streamed on FloHoops from June 10-12.
Its stout field will feature NY Rens, PSA Cardinals. Team Final, Expressions Elite, Albany City Rocks, New Heights, Louisiana Select Milsap, NY Jayhawks, Team Texas, the 17U Chinese National team, and the 17U Dominican National team, among others.
Studded with elite prospects, these teams will provide a preview of the Nike Elite Youth Basketball League (EYBL) postseason—five of the teams participating in the Peach Jam will contest this loaded event.
Peach Jam Preview: (NY Rens, PSA Cardinals, Team Final, Albany City Rocks, Expressions Elite)
We are approximately a month away from this highly anticipated event, and the field at this year’s Rumble in the Bronx field features more than 20 percent of the 2016 Peach Jam field. PSA Cardinals finished 14-2 in regular-season play, led by the EYBL’s assist leader Quade Green (2017 6’ 0” PG), who averaged 10.5 assists per game. Team Final ended the regular season 10-6 and were buoyed by the gifted perimeter attack of Lonnie Walker (2017 6’ 5” SG), Cameron Reddish (2018 6’ 7” SF), and Darron Russell (2017 5’ 10” PG). Expressions Elite and Albany City Rocks both had a record of 9-7 and will enter the Rumble in the Bronx as strong contenders to take down EYBL giants Team Final and PSA Cardinals. The NY Rens, which were carried by Hamidou Diallo (2017 6’ 4” SG) and finished 8-8 in EYBL play, and are the defending champions of the Adidas Gauntlet Series.

A talented group of guards will compete for a title against a competitive field this weekend in the Bronx. Their talent is highlighted by the point guard position, and will feature four elite point guards in the 2017 class (Tremont Waters, Quade Green, Isaiah Washington, Jose Alvarado) and one of the top guards in the 2019 class, Cole Anthony. The point guards are paired with two guards and wings, including Hamidou Diallo, Brandon Randolph, Sidney Wilson, and Cameron Reddish among others. The position is stacked in this year’s field with Quade Green leading the EYBL in assists per game and Jose Alvarado dropping the most assists in an EYBL game this year with 16. Hamidou Diallo finished 14th in the EYBL in scoring with an average of 18.6 points per game, while Sidney Wilson finished eighth in the Under Armour Association with 16.3 points per contest.

Diverse Field: 17u Chinese National Team/Dominican National Team, Louisiana Select Milsap, Texas Elite
This year’s field will feature a diverse crop of teams from outside the Northeast region of the country, including Louisiana Select Milsap, South Florida Elite, Iowa Barnstormers and Team Texas Elite. Some global talent will also join this year’s event: the 17U Chinese National Team and 17U Dominican National Team. Watch out for these squads to make an impact on a tournament dominated by elite AAU programs from the Northeast region of the United States.

This year’s Rumble will allow New York’s top AAU teams across circuits to compete for bragging rights as the best team in the state. The top New York team in the Under Armour Association, New Heights, finished 8-4 in the regular season and feature a trio of solid prospects (Sidney Wilson, Isaiah Washington, Keith Williams) that will compete for the crown. The top three New York teams from the EYBL—PSA Cardinals (14-2), Albany City Rocks (9-7), and NY Rens (8-8)—will all compete for the event title, and former Under Armour Association squad NY Jayhawks will be featured in the field as well. The top AAU programs in New York will feature some of the nation’s brightest talent and determine New York’s best AAU team of 2016.
