The Jayhawk Summer Finale has concluded and KC Run GMC almost completed the championship sweep.
Run GMC was one game away from winning the 15u, 16u, and 17u divisions. The only division they fell was in the 16u contest. The 16u Run GMC squad lost to eventual champions, OK Run PWP. OK Run PWP defeated Omaha Elite 69-68.
In the 15u bracket Run GMC was led by talented 2019 forward, Jeremiah Robinson. He played impressive throughout the whole tournament and garnered national attention. Another player that stood out for Run GMC was Josh Earley. You can expect his list of offers to rise after his Jayhawk Finale performance.
The most impressive performance had to have come from the 17u Run GMC team. They started pool play 0-2 and the rest of tournament did not favor the hometown team. But, after determination and perseverance, the 17u KC Run GMC squad sent off seniors, including Mitch Ballock, D'shawn Schwartz and Jacob Gilyard in style with a Jayhawk Summer Finale championship.
