Wednesday afternoon the United States Men's basketball team face a very scrappy Argentinian squad in the quarter finals of the 2016 Summer Olympic games.

The USA team went 5-0 in group play, though they weren't exactly dominant in every game. The team's success can largely be attributed to superior talent and depth rather than game play. That lack of teamwork led to some extremely close games against France and Serbia. Even with those in-game struggles, they've found a way to win.

Argentina played well in the opening round of group play, relying on veteran leadership. As one of the older teams in the field, they've been playing as a cohesive unit for years and understand what it means to play as a team. That experience led them to a 3-2 record in Group B.  They don't have a lot of firepower though, so don't expect them to be able to keep up with the American team in the second half should the game open up.
