Charlotte Hoops Challenge Prepared To Perfection
The 2016 Charlotte Hoops Challenge brings top North Carolina and area talent to one place.
Soon after the food digests and you're done with your early-morning Black Friday shopping, there will be a treat waiting for you. The Charlotte Hoops Challenge, the only nationally recognized Thanksgiving event in North Carolina, is prepared to perfection.
With 16 games, including six high school girls contests, the event inside Rock River High School on November 25-26 will dish out a full slate to focus on some of the top teams and players in the area. And the only place to catch a top 25 team and other Flo40 prospects is on FloHoops.
EVENT HUB
TOP TEAM: No. 24 Providence Day
Making their second appearance on FloHoops this season, the Chargers are the headline team to watch. Featuring 2018 Flo40 guard Devon Dotson (No. 39) and fellow junior guard Tre Wertz, Providence Day is not the biggest team in the tournament by any means, but it absolutely finds various ways to win. Dotson is a tough-nosed point guard who can score at a high clip, while Wertz is a bucket-getter himself. Both are always in attack mode. This dynamic duo is only getting better, too, which is scary, and will lead the Chargers in the nightcap each night against Rocky River on Friday and JM Robinson on Saturday.
Sometimes a picture can tell the entire story and this one sums it up nicely:

Love watching two big men go at in down on the block? If so, you will not want to miss a second of this duel. So much length. So little room to operate. These two high-level prospects are game-changers, and the best one will help decide the outcome Friday night.
The No. 17-ranked prospect for 2017, Wiley enters the Charlotte Hoops Challenge as the premier player you have to see. It won't be hard to find him, either. At 6-foot-10, Wiley is strong and plays physical while having great athleticism for his size to run the floor. Whether it's dunking with authority or altering almost any shot in the paint, the Auburn signee will look make a statement during this showcase.
Burns is not the only underclassman to follow, but he is the most intriguing. He's just a sophomore but already has a big body and game that has earned him high-major offers. Burns is a little undersized right now at 6-foot-8, but he is on the right track to developing and becoming a powerful big at the prep level and beyond.
