6 PM -- Phoenix St. Mary's (AZ) vs. Mater Dei High School (CA)
8 PM -- La Lumiere School (IN) vs. Westbury Christian (TX)
Following a crushing championship loss at DICK'S Nationals last year, all eyes were on La Lumiere to see how it would respond this season. Well, it's safe to say the Lakers have rebounded quite nicely, to put it mildly. They have been incredibly dominant -- winning every game by at least 29 points so far -- and feature a strong mix of returners and newcomers that can rival any roster in the country. With the likes of point guard Tyger Campbell, wing Brian Bowen, and forward Jaren Jackson, there's no doubt this is the strongest team in program history and might just be the best in the country.
Sometimes it is truly hard to describe someone special. In this case, there aren't enough ways to explain the talent of DeAndre Ayton. At 7-foot, the Hillcrest Prep (AZ) big man can do a little bit of everything. From blocking shots to scoring at multiple levels to simply controlling the paint, Ayton is a next-level big man who can command an entire gym's attention. Although he did not participate in the Marshall County Hoopfest, expect Ayton to make a return here and show everyone why he is one of the absolute best prospects in the entire country.
THE TOP MATCHUP: ALEX BARCELLO (CORONA DEL SOL) VS. JOSE ALVARADO (CHRIST THE KING)
What's not to love about a big-time point guard battle? Alex Barcello and Jose Alvarado are both heading to high-major programs, and this will be a glimpse at what each can do against great competition. Barcello, who is Arizona bound, is a strong scorer at both guard spots and plays with energy, while Alvarado, who is headed to Georgia Tech, is a tough-minded winner. These two will get after it. All that's left is to see who gets the best of this showdown.
