Duke Transfer Chase Jeter Revamping Career With The Wildcats
Junior forward Chase Jeter has a fresh start at Arizona after transferring from Duke.
With recruiting classes routinely considered one of the best in the country each year, it's no secret Sean Miller knows how to land high-profile prospects from the prep level. It's now time to add striking gold on the transfer market to his list of accomplishments at Arizona.
Not only did the veteran coach secure a highly touted group to bolster his roster for a potential Final Four run in 2017-18, but he also found an elite piece for the future in Duke transfer Chase Jeter.
A 6-foot-10 power forward, the former McDonald's All-American, who was recruited by Miller in high school, enters the Wildcats' program with hopes to revamp a collegiate career that never got the jump-start many had expected. That all begins with a three-game tour in Spain live on FloHoops.
The talent is undeniable. The opportunity just didn't come. Jeter averaged 2.1 points and 2.2 rebounds in his two years with the Blue Devils and missed the final 19 games with a herniated disc.
Although he will not be eligible until the 2018-19 campaign, Jeter is healthy and will provide strong depth in practice for a squad with national championship aspirations.
Then, when it's his time to shine, expect Jeter to return as the player everyone was anticipating for his final two years.
