When stepping onto the scene at a new school, no coach can make a greater first impression than locking in the state’s top talent. That’s what Illinois coach Brad Underwood was able to accomplish this week.

Although Arizona State landed the highest-ranked prospect in No. 23 Luguentz Dort, this week’s biggest commitment came from Morgan Park (IL) star and No. 26 Ayo Dosunmu, who chose to stay home and play for the Fighting Illini.

Staying Home: No. 26 Dosunmu Picks Illinois

Dosunmu’s pledge gives Underwood an ideal start to his tenure and 2018 class, but he was not the only coach to have a strong recruiting week.
