2019 Flo40 No. 6 Cole Anthony Turns Into A Scoring Machine At Peach Jam
Jul 21, 2017
For the past three months, Cole Anthony has solidified his status as 2019’s top point guard by making Nike EYBL courts look like his own personal playground. Now, the Flo40 No. 6 prospect is on a mission to put his lethal scoring ability on full display.
After averaging 16.3 points during the Nike EYBL regular season, the 6-foot-2 floor general for the PSA Cardinals (NY) turned into a scoring machine at last week's Peach Jam, leading all players at 25.6 points per game. He also averaged 4.6 rebounds and 5.6 assists.
Anthony has emerged as a solid three-tier scorer. He finishes in traffic and at the rim well, can pull up for a mid-range jumper, and has a nice stroke from 3-point range. The first two were deadly in five Peach Jam games -- making nearly 59 percent of his field goal attempts -- and he made up for his long ball not falling by getting to the line 64 times.
Watching Anthony make a major impact was nothing new, but the way he was in attack mode in scoring over 20 points in four of five games showed another side to a prospect who continues to impress.
