Wesley Iwundu: K-State Not A 9th-Place Team

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Was Wesley Iwundu mad? Absolutely. By no means did he think his Kansas State squad would be picked as the preseason favorites in the Big 12, but the senior wing definitely disagreed with being selected No. 9 in a 10-team league by the coaches at Big 12 Media Day at the Sprint Center on Tuesday. It now serves as a motivational tool this season.

Iwundu, an All-Big 12 third team and Big 12 All-Defensive team selection last season, is looking to lead the Wildcats back to the NCAA Tournament after two consecutive seasons with no postseason appearances.
