SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. — A solid showing in an event across the country is good for some. Not for Christ the King’s Jose Alvarado. He wanted a perfect weekend at Chaparral High School during the American Family Insurance Hoophall West, but it just wasn’t meant to be.

Following a 60-45 win over Phoenix St. Mary’s on Friday, the Royals couldn’t complete the sweep, losing to Corona del Sol 84-74 on Saturday.

Alvarado, a Georgia Tech signee who dropped 25 points in the loss, spoke with FloHoops’ Jaki Goldner about the event and the rest of the season ahead.
