Future Teammates Post Monstrous Numbers At Breakdown USA Border Battle
APPLE VALLEY, MN — One of the best players in Minnesota. One of the best players in Wisconsin. That alone seemed like a good showdown, and it did not disappoint Saturday night.
Yet, there was plenty more to the story. LaCrosse Central’s Kobe King and Lakeville North’s Nathan Reuvers were not only competitors against one another in the Breakdown USA Border Battle, but they will also be future teammates at the University of Wisconsin next season.
King was the star of the show, registering 49 points and 14 rebounds, but it was Reuvers who got the last laugh. He had 33 points and eight boards, which helped Lakeville North get the 98-83 win.
And just think, for as good as the individual battle was, that’s going to be a dangerous combination in the future.
