Roselle Catholic's Nate Pierre-Louis Seeks Fab Prep Finish Before 'Fab Four' Arrives At Temple
ROSELLE, NJ -- Nate Pierre-Louis has a lot to look forward to, but for now, the Temple signee knows there is unfinished business for Roselle Catholic. On Sunday, the Lions were put to the test against Immaculate Conception at the PrimeTime Shootout, eventually coming away with a 86-74 win.
For much of the first half, it was questionable whether Roselle Catholic had any juice left in the tank after Saturday night's loss to No. 11 Montverde (FL). Pierre-Louis was the first to admit the Lions' "hangover" from that defeat, which manifested in a first-half, 20-point deficit to Immaculate Conception. But if Roselle Catholic was going to make some noise in the Union County Tournament and beyond, the Lions needed to step it up.
And that's just what they did. On the back of 2018 No. 14 Naz Reid's 36 points, 18 rebounds, and three blocks, Roselle Catholic roared back. Pierre-Louis finished with 23 points, six assists, and seven rebounds.
Pierre-Louis told FloHoops' Jaki Goldner that a run in playoffs and a chance at the New Jersey Tournament of Champions is the goal before he heads to Philadelphia with Temple's "Fab Four" freshman class.
