Mac Irvin Fire's Demarius Jacobs Rising Up To Better Offers

Making a change is never easy, but it’s worth it when the future is brighter than ever. Mac Irvin Fire’s Demarius Jacobs is living proof of that and will enter the July evaluation period as a bigger target than ever before.

Not long ago, the journey was set for 6-foot-2 combo guard. He was to graduate from Chicago Uplift (IL) and take his talents to Southern Illinois this summer to begin his college career.

Needless to say, that will not be happening.

Not only did Jacobs get out of his signed letter of intent, but he also reclassified from 2017 to 2018 and will transfer to Hillcrest Prep (AZ) next season.

The decision has paid off in a big-time way.

After averaging 12.9 points and 4.6 rebounds during the Nike EYBL season, doing most of his damage around the rim, Jacobs received his first high-major offer from Arizona State a week ago and has several more showing interest heading into the live period at the Peach Invitational Tournament from July 12-16 in North Augusta, SC.

Where this high-flying guard will go to college is still way up in the air, but he has elevated his game and is soaring toward even better opportunities down the road.
