Why Flo40 Big Man Isaiah Stewart Is A High-Major Priority

LA PORTE, IN -- From finishing with a baby hook over his left shoulder to skying high above the rim to even switching schools, Isaiah Stewart is making all of the right moves right now and it is paying off in a big-time way.

At 6-foot-8 and 235 pounds with a 7-foot-4 wingspan, Stewart looked right at home with one of the premier programs in the country at the second annual La Lumiere Combine this week. The 2019 Flo40 No. 32 prospect tested exceptionally well, including touching over 12 feet with a 38-inch max vertical leap, and was dominant during the Lakers’ scrimmage.

Given his physical stature and skill, it should be no surprise high-major coaches from Syracuse, Notre Dame, Michigan State, Villanova, Tennessee, Purdue, and Maryland were all on hand to witness the McQuaid Jesuit (NY) transfer in action again while Indiana, Texas, and Georgetown also remain in heavy pursuit.

Stewart burst onto the scene during the Nike EYBL this season and averaged 10.3 points and 9.2 rebounds for City Rocks (NY) at Nike Peach Jam. He brings an old-school game to the court that is fit to dominate at this level and beyond.

There is no doubt Stewart has emerged as a high-major priority for many programs before his junior season. Watching him for even a short amount of time makes the "why" a no-brainer.

It’s safe to say his stock will continue to soar as high as he can jump throughout the year, too.
