Corey Davis Jr.'s Late Heroics Lifts Houston Over Liberty

LYNCHBURG, VA -- In the closing seconds, with the score tied, Corey Davis Jr. was determined to make sure Houston walked off the Vines Center court with a win on Saturday. The junior guard used the game before as motivation.

A day after missing the game-winning shot in a loss to Drexel, Davis Jr. collected the missed shot of teammate Devin Davis and put it in with 0.3 seconds remaining to give the Cougars a 68-66 victory at the 2017 Paradise Jam.

Davis finished with seven points and three rebounds, and none were bigger than the putback for the win.
