The sun has risen in Rio and the United States Olympic winning streak rages on.

For their opening game, the US went up against international rival China. Led by former NBA big-man YI Jianlian. Jianlian played for the Bucks, Nets, and Wizards.

The game was pretty much over after the first quarter when the US shot out to a 20-point lead. Kevin Durant led all scorers with 25 points followed by Demarcus Cousins and Paul George with 17 and 15 respectively.

With a US-led blowout, there were definitely some plays of note. First, to end the opening quarter, Lowry had a near full-court bounce pass to Jimmy Butler as the buzzer sounded. Later in the game, Paul George had a reverse dunk that he made look easy.

United States would eventually defeat China 119-62. The only bright spot for the Chinese was YI Jianlian who was hitting his shots from deep, finishing the game with 25 points.

The United States plays their next game against Venezuela on Monday at 5 PM CST.
