No. 1 Nathan Hale On Brink Of Historic Undefeated Regular Season

Nathan Hale wasn't expecting much following a three-win 2015-2016 campaign. However, after an unheard of offseason by high school hoops standards, The Raiders collected the pieces that has locked in the No. 1 spot.
On Friday, Nathan Hale is on the brink of one of the first pieces of history up for grabs this season as it heads to neighboring Roosevelt High School for a chance at the regular season Metro League championship with an undefeated overall record. An almost unimaginable game from a team that tallied one league win last season.
First, it was the hiring of former NBA All-Star and Portland Trailblazers guard Brandon Roy as the head coach in early June that got the ball rolling for Nathan Hale. Shortly thereafter, 2017 Flo40 No. 1 Michael Porter Jr. and his brothers, 2018 Flo40 No. 27 Jontay and 6-foot-3 freshman guard Corban, along with FOUR local prep stars put in their papers for transfer. Unlike most states that have transfer rules similar to that of the NCAA, Seattle's open enrollment regulations signed off and the Raiders went to work.
Since then, Roy has been "the happiest man on the planet!"
To date, Nathan Hale sits at 19-0. Despite Michael Porter Jr. and the serious damage he puts on opponents, including 52 points and 23 rebounds on Seattle Prep on Tuesday, the supporting cast of Jontay, sophomore PJ Fuller, point guard Tre'Var Holland, and Keegan Crosby have taken Nathan Hale home time and time again.
