MOKAN Elite's Jontay Porter Finds Sweet Spot From 3-Point Range
Jul 1, 2017
Whenever MOKAN Elite (KS) has put Jontay Porter in pick-and-pop situations or found him as the trailer in transition, it has proven to be a nightmare for defenses. The 6-foot-10 forward has a sweet spot from the top of the key, and it is a dangerous weapon in his versatile offensive arsenal.
In shooting 42 percent form behind the arc during the Nike EYBL season, Porter, who averaged 18.1 points and 12.6 rebounds in 16 games, used back screens and great spacing to nail over 25 shots from the same spot, and it’s one reason why he went from No. 23 to No. 9 in the latest 2018 Flo40 rankings.
Porter, a Missouri commit, has a college-ready game right now, and the decision whether or not he will reclassify and play for the Tigers next season will likely come after Peach Jam from July 12-16 in North Augusta, SC.
In the meantime, get ready to enjoy the show Porter is about to put on when he drills multiple 3-pointers from his favorite spot on the floor.
