Bear Down: Flo40 No. 20 Jahvon Quinerly Picks Arizona
Aug 8, 2017
A model of consistency in the prep hoops game comes in the form of a 6-foot floor general named Jahvon Quinerly. He is fearless, undoubtedly one of the top point guards for 2018, and now officially off the board.
On Tuesday, the Hudson Catholic (NJ) star and Flo40 No. 20 prospect committed to Arizona over Villanova at halftime of Steph Curry’s SC30 Select Showcase Game in San Francisco on ESPNU.
Quinerly, who was seen during the Culligan City of Palms Classic last season, was one of the biggest stock risers after a strong spring and summer with Sports U in the Under Armour Association circuit. He joins Crossroads (CA) forward and Flo40 No. 27 Shareef O’Neal and Crespi (CA) point guard Brandon Williams in the Wildcats’ 2018 class.
Arizona head coach Sean Miller, who will lead the program on a three-game tour in Spain live on FloHoops from August 13-18, has secured some of the nation’s best recruiting classes over the years, and landing Quinerly, the Gatorade Player of the Year in New Jersey, is another crown jewel for the future.
