On The Move: The Seven Major 2019 Flo40 Transfers

The importance of the transfer epidemic in high school hoops does not only apply to the high-profile seniors on the move for their final seasons. There are several big-time 2019 prospects, including former Nathan Hale (WA) guard P.J. Fuller as seen above, whose decision to switch scenes will have a huge impact on the 2017-18 campaign across the country.
Here are the seven major Flo40 transfers on the move as juniors:
James Wiseman
Flo40 Rank: 2New School: Memphis East (TN)
Former School: Ensworth (TN)
This might have come as a shock to many, but it is massive. At 6-foot-10, Wiseman showed several signs of dominance by leading Team Penny (TN) in points (10.2), rebounds (4.8) and blocks (2.4) per game at Nike Peach Jam and now will join several of those teammates on a Mustangs squad looking for a third straight state title. Adding more size and an elite prospect here makes Penny Hardaway’s squad even more dangerous to start the season.
Charles Bassey
Flo40 Rank: 3New School: DeSales (KY)
Former School: St. Anthony Catholic (TX)
After helping put St. Anthony on the map, the 6-foot-10 Nigerian is moving from Texas to Kentucky with a host of other prospects looking to make a difference this year. Bassey’s ceiling is incredibly high, and he has the ability to shine on any team.
Cassius Stanley
Flo40 Rank: 9New School: Sierra Canyon (CA)
Former School: Harvard Westlake (CA)
The Andre Chevalier era if officially underway at Sierra Canyon, and there’s no better way to start it than landing the 6-foot-5 bucket-getter Stanley. Despite losing 2017 No. 2 Marvin Bagley III and a few high-major seniors, the Trailblazers are in great shape to compete at the top of the state with Stanley.
Balsa Koprivica

Former School: University School Of Nova South (FL)
What once was a formidable frontcourt, perhaps the best in the nation, is now just a memory. Not only did Koprivica leave Nike Team Florida (FL) after averaging 8.2 points and 5.3 rebounds alongside new No. 1 Vernon Carey Jr., but the the 6-foot-10 forward also changed schools. Koprivica has some serious game, and maybe the new scenery will help bring that out even more.
Jalen Lecque
Flo40 Rank: 26New School: Christ School (NC)
Former School: Monsignor Scanlan (NY)
One of the breakout stars of the Nike EYBL, the 6-foot-2 combo guard saw his stock soar through the roof this spring in posting 16.3 points per game and following it up by helping Southern Stampede win the Peach Invitational Tournament in July. Lecque is so hard to keep out of the lane, and his above-the-rim finishes make him a prospect to keep an eye on as he heads to a state full of talent.
Isaiah Stewart
Flo40 Rank: 33New School: La Lumiere School (IN)
Former School: McQuaid Jesuit (NY)
In needing to boost their frontcourt this season, the defending DICK’s Nationals champions found one of the best possible pieces to keep the program at a high level. At 6-foot-9 and 235 pounds, Stewart has an old-school game and averaged 11 points and 8.4 rebounds in the Nike EYBL. He will undoubtedly be a key contributor at the start of the season.
P.J. Fuller
Flo40 Rank: 37New School: Mater Dei (CA)
Former School: Nathan Hale (WA)
From one winning squad to the next, the 6-foot-3 Fuller, who burst onto the scene while playing for 29-0 Nathan Hale (WA) a year ago, is now heading to a stacked Mater Dei squad after dropping 10.7 points, 2.3 rebounds, and 2.8 assists per game for Seattle Rotary in the Nike EYBL. With great athleticism and an improving shot, Fuller will not be asked to be a superstar, but he can make a difference as a strong complementary piece.
